What are interpreter rates and income looking like in 2025?

I really experienced some problems quoting for my jobs. Several clients of mine are falling short on their budgets, mainly because of the US freezing of funds in January/February. This week I got a response from a client who hired me in April for a 4-language conference. I kept the same price for the same kind of assignment that would take place in September, during 3 days and with 6 interpreters) but unfortunately they chose another option which cost USD 150 less (imagine… USD 8 per interpreter). This is my experience with my global clients. Now, in the local market (Argentina), it remains exactly the same as before, the benefit is that we are not experiencing the same inflation as two years ago. Thank God I always keep me busy because I work with thee languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish), but I know the colleagues working only with two languages are less busy than me.
